Economy improving?
There seems to be an "ever so slight" recovery going on. I've noticed my stocks have bounced back a percent or two! Only 58% more and we'll be in business! But, is this the actual rate we'll experience the recovery? Moving this gradual it *will* take a decade. That's okay as long as we move in the right direction in a solid manner.
Thomas Jefferson said, When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Hopefully liberty will prevail and our leaders will get out of the way of the recovery and stop "helping."

Be happy and *SMILE*
Alright another month has gone by. This morning my daughter reminded me to and be happy. People generally like happy people better than unhappy people, so since I know this, I will try to be happy. It is particularly difficult lately because of a number of things, like it's rainy and cool today, I'm on call for work, our government is corrupt, our economy is in the ditch, I can't sell my house and the list goes on. But, I am going to be happy it's not snowing, assume things at work will be fine and I won't get a call, expect that Washington has a plan that is so clever that even the experts can't figure it out, and I'm pretty lucky to have a house. Yup, it's starting to work! :) <----- there's my happy mug.

Is spring around the corner?
Sun is out and I can almost visualize things turning green. Had some 50's+ weather this week and spring fever is settling in. Almost time to get the bike out.

Stimulus
Go Senator Reid! Sounds like this plan will put a lot of people to work ... for short time. Then people in LA will have an easy way to commute to their favorite playground. No pork here.
In late-stage talks, Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., pressed for $8 billion to construct high-speed rail lines, quadrupling the amount in the bill that passed the Senate on Tuesday.
Reid's office issued a statement noting that a proposed Los Angeles-to-Las Vegas rail might get a big chunk of the money.

Liberals and environment - Speeding uses more gas
Just got back from a road trip where I noticed that more than half the people on the highway were traveling faster than I was and I followed the speed limit. I expect that many of these were liberals because apparently at least half the people are and many of these displayed Obama stickers. We all know that driving slower will save energy and probably lower our carbon footprint. Isn't it ironic that the people who want to promote and force us to become "greener" cannot even set an example by driving the speed limit. Say nothing about the BIG vehicles they are passing me with.

VOIP.com policy does not allow refunds
I subscribed to VOIP.com for a year. After having trouble getting a number assigned the service worked okay for the price. Just before the annual renewal came up I was having trouble with delays when we tried to talk. VOIP.com emailed me stating I would be automatically enrolled for a second year if I didn't contact them. They also said that if I was having any trouble to go the their help forums and it would be resolved quickly. I didn't get a chance to experiment with the phone until the exact day of re-enrollment. I went through the FAQ and tried all ideas that offered. I then contacted the tech support forum. After 3 or 4 days with no response I canceled the account, boxed up the equipment, and returned it as directed. I used about 21 minutes trying to call my work voice mail to see if the delay was better. They have refused to refund my $212.73 annual payment because it is against their policy. So if you want a few days of non-service for 200 bucks, this is the place to go. How American is this? I am ashamed that these types are so insensitive and unreasonable. It was against my policy to pay for the first month and not have a telephone number assigned but I sucked it up.

Cold!
Well these have been the coldest days since I've been here in WV! Was beginning to think I had returned to Maine. Hopefully we are climbing out of the deep freeze.
Spent my days off looking up dead people. I thought I found that I was I was related to President Nixon but it was an error, I'm relieved. I like finding connections to Presidents but there are some I'd prefer not to share blood with. The good news is that I made a lot of progress on confirming other relatives.
No geocaching this weekend. I went for a walk in the mountains behind my house instead. The decent geocaching hikes are over an hour away now because I've gotten all the local ones that are not "park and grabs." When warmer weather comes I can get the bike out and that makes it more pleasurable.
Obama will begin this week! I wish him well. He is a smart man and will hopefully not let the far left simpletons lead him too far astray from common sense. The good news is that any change will likely lead to an improvement. Time will tell. Go Barack!

Is it just me?
I drove 1½ today to find some geocaches that offered a bit of challenge to get to. What I found was that the challenge was to find the trail-head to begin at. I spent way too much time looking for the correct beginning. Oh well, I got my exercise in and found what I intended to.
While I was driving around WV, looking for my trails I noticed hundreds of NO TRESPASSING signs EVERYWHERE!! What the heck! Why are people so worried about someone taking a walk on their property and enjoying the earth that we live on? Actually, who gave them that land anyway? Just another tidbit to put me in a pithy mood today.
Vacation is over now, back to work tomorrow. That will be good because I've stayed cooped up for the past few weeks and have done nothing but eat for exercise. That doesn't work out that well for weight control. At least at work I am forced to walk around a bit.
I chatted with k6 a while ago and that just brightened my day! I hadn't talked to her much lately and forgot how much I enjoyed it. She's a good gurl. :)
